de Monterrey signs an agreement to promote research"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/tec.mx\/en\">Tec de Monterrey<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.incide.mx\/\">INCIDE Foundation<\/a> (Innovation and Science for Business Development), and the Technological Research and Innovation Park (PIIT) signed a <strong>collaboration agreement to promote scientific research<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The agreement was signed during the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/tecscience.tec.mx\/en\/tag\/tec-science-summit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tec Science Summit<\/a><\/strong>, which brings together the Tec de Monterrey research community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This agreement is similar to the one already established by Tec de Monterrey with the <a href=\"http:\/\/unam.mx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">National Autonomous University of Mexico<\/a>, the<a href=\"http:\/\/uanl.mx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> Autonomous University of Nuevo Le\u00f3n<\/a>, and the <a href=\"http:\/\/funsalud.org.mx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mexican Foundation for Health FUNSALUD<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This alliance seeks to increase the effectiveness and possibility of success of technology-based proposals generated in areas such as the pharma industry or biotech and nanotech, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt is impossible for a single institution to cover everything required to scale the technology and reach the market; these alliances bond equipment, expertise, and infrastructure from various sides to move faster,\u201d said Arturo Santos, director of Technology Transfer at Tec, in an interview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The agreement between INCIDE and Tec de Monterrey<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This agreement intends to generate scientific calls, promote research projects of the institutions involved, and offer a way for technology transfer and the creation of science-based companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The collaboration between these institutions also seeks the addition of other industry allies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this sense, <strong>INCIDE <\/strong>becomes relevant, as it is a <strong>non-profit foundation of Mexican <strong>pharmaceutical<\/strong><\/strong> <strong>companies<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Labs, knowledge, and human capital are strengths of this alliance, added to the <strong>more than 700 researchers from the Tec de Monterrey <\/strong>and the Bio and Nano labs of PIIT, from the government of Nuevo Le\u00f3n, M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The signing was in charge of Arturo Santos Garc\u00eda, as well as Guy Jean Savoir Garc\u00eda, president of INCIDE, and Jos\u00e9 Alfredo P\u00e9rez
