Futurist and tech expert <strong>Gerd Leonhard<\/strong> explains that advances in <a href=\"https:\/\/tecscience.tec.mx\/en\/tag\/artificial-intelligence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Artificial Intelligence<\/a> mean that job automation can replace human labor. Statistics indicate that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/statistics\/1233808\/probability-job-automation-latin-america-focus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">48% of jobs in our country could be at risk due to the arrival of technology<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his talk at <strong>Tec Business Summit 2023<\/strong>, entitled <a href=\"https:\/\/egade.tec.mx\/en\/blog\/gerd-leonhard-purpose-looking-future-not-prediction-it-be-better-prepared?_ga=2.129123084.1209028270.1684169261-805614497.1681422340\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>The Future of Organizations: Revolutions and Transformations<\/em><\/a>, Leonhard discussed his predictions for the future and the changes they will bring to society, particularly to business and industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leonhard noted that these \u201crevolutions\u201d will bring exponential technological transformations in computing, climate technology, and <a href=\"https:\/\/tecscience.tec.mx\/en\/biotechnology\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">biotechnology<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Although humans will rarely be replaced by Artificial Intelligence, humans already using AI will replace non-using-AI humans,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"The Next 10 Years: Work , Skills, Leadership: Keynote by futurist Gerd Leonhard AXPO Talent Day 2022\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/cGE3TIRr620?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Artificial Intelligence taking over jobs<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe will lose jobs that automation will do, but <strong>we will also have new jobs based on these changes<\/strong>,\u201d remarked Leonhard, who was listed as one of the top 100 influencers in technology by <strong>Wired<\/strong> magazine in 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said that today is the period called the <strong>digital revolution<\/strong> due to advances in technology and connectivity, such as Artificial Intelligence <a href=\"\/en\/tech\/chat-gpt-in-education\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">platforms like ChatGPT<\/a>. However, two other \u201corganizational revolutions\u201d accompany this change. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMillennials and centennials are already entering positions of power and will be in charge of the new society. They will ask for more sustainability and purpose. They will not only be looking for money,\u201d said Leonhard, who is also a writer and calls himself a Futurist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/egade.tec.mx\/sites\/default\/files\/TecBusinessSummit\/?_ga=2.196210476.1209028270.1684169261-805614497.1681422340\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">summit coordinated by the EGADE Business School<\/a><\/strong> at Tec de Monterrey, the motivational speaker and businessman explained that the other two revolutions are the <strong>sustainable revolution<\/strong> and the <strong>revolution of purpose<\/strong>, which will bring about technological changes and a more humanistic and ecological approach. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is derived from the changes that society is currently experiencing after the challenges and lessons learned from the pandemic, geopolitical conflicts, and inflation, among other aspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These revolutions will bring exponential technological transformations in computing, climate technology, and biotechnology. \u201cWe will lose jobs that automation will do, but we will also have new jobs based on these changes,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Automation could open spaces for people to stop performing repetitive jobs and <strong>instead focus on promoting sustainability and humanism<\/strong>, as well as advancing on issues of genomics, water, food, and energy, where there could be more collaboration to address new challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt&#8217;s the end for every routine that can be digitized, automated, or virtualized, but <strong>it&#8217;s not the end of human work<\/strong>,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>AI: A new human renaissance<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\">Leonhard pointed out that technology such as Artificial Intelligence will be applied more and more in different areas, especially in agriculture.
