Los pap\u00e1s de Dafne Almaz\u00e1n sospecharon que su hija era sobredotada<\/a> porque aprendi\u00f3 a leer y escribir sin ninguna ayuda. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A finales de mayo, junto con otros miles de estudiantes que tuvieron que terminar sus estudios en l\u00ednea por la crisis provocada por el SARS-CoV-2, a sus 18 a\u00f1os, Dafne se convirti\u00f3 en la mexicana m\u00e1s joven en contar con una maestr\u00eda en Ense\u00f1anza de Matem\u00e1ticas<\/strong> por la Universidad de Harvard, considerada una de las mejores instituciones a nivel mundial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sus estudios acad\u00e9micos acelerados comenzaron cuando ten\u00eda ocho a\u00f1os, despu\u00e9s de que sus padres le hicieron pruebas psicom\u00e9tricas de coeficiente intelectual. A esa edad, decidieron inscribirla en la preparatoria. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Con 13 a\u00f1os, comenz\u00f3 la Licenciatura en Psicolog\u00eda en el Tecnol\u00f3gico de Monterrey; a los 17 a\u00f1os fue aceptada en Harvard<\/strong> para cursar la maestr\u00eda en Ense\u00f1anza de Matem\u00e1ticas. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ahora, es la mexicana m\u00e1s joven en graduarse de un grado m\u00e1ster de esa prestigiosa escuela en Estados Unidos.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Estudiantes sobredotados de Harvard<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

En entrevista para Tec Review<\/strong><\/em>, dice que le gustaban los c\u00f3mics, sobre todo los X-Men<\/em>, porque se sent\u00eda identificada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ahora quiere usar sus habilidades especiales para ayudar a su pa\u00eds.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCuando era peque\u00f1a me gustaban mucho los X-Men <\/em>porque me sent\u00eda as\u00ed. Ellos eran diferentes y no decidieron nacer as\u00ed, pero usaban sus habilidades para el bien com\u00fan y yo siento que es lo mismo con los ni\u00f1os sobredotados, esa inteligencia la podemos usar para sacar adelante a M\u00e9xico\u201d, comenta. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Salud (OMS) define la sobredotaci\u00f3n intelectual<\/strong> como una inteligencia equivalente a un coeficiente intelectual superior a los 130 puntos, por encima de la media de 100 puntos.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

M\u00e9xico tiene un mill\u00f3n de ni\u00f1os en este rango, de acuerdo con cifras del departamento de psicolog\u00eda del<\/span> Centro de Atenci\u00f3n al Talento (CEDAT)<\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Se estima que 93% de los ni\u00f1os sobredotados del pa\u00eds recibieron malos diagn\u00f3sticos<\/strong> al ser confundidos con Trastorno por D\u00e9ficit de Atenci\u00f3n e Hiperactividad (TDAH), Asperger o Autismo.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

El camino del Tec a Harvard<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u00bfQu\u00e9 tan dif\u00edcil fue tu integraci\u00f3n a la escuela?<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tuve que enfrentar varios obst\u00e1culos porque cuando entr\u00e9 a la prepa ten\u00eda ocho a\u00f1os. Varios maestros me trataron muy bien y me apoyaron, as\u00ed fue como yo pude avanzar. En la preparatoria casi no estuve con mis compa\u00f1eros porque tuve clases m\u00e1s especializadas y mi hermana, que ya iba a acabar la prepa, se regres\u00f3 para estar conmigo y la tuve de compa\u00f1era.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Harvard fui presencialmente y mis compa\u00f1eros aceptaban m\u00e1s las diferencias, aunque result\u00f3 dif\u00edcil estar a su nivel, pero fue una gran experiencia para ellos y para m\u00ed.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 decidiste estudiar psicolog\u00eda?<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mi hermano mayor tambi\u00e9n estudi\u00f3 eso y recuerdo que cuando yo era ni\u00f1a nos contaba acerca de las conductas humanas y la personalidad. Con el tiempo me di cuenta que yo pod\u00eda apoyar en M\u00e9xico sobre todo en el \u00e1rea de sobredotados si estudiaba eso.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bfC\u00f3mo fue el proceso para ingresar a Harvard?<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fue dif\u00edcil porque no pod\u00eda meter mi aplicaci\u00f3n por ser menor de edad y tuve que hablar con los directivos para que estudiaran mi caso y me dejaran hacer los ex\u00e1menes y las entrevistas. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eleg\u00ed la maestr\u00eda en Ense\u00f1anza de Matem\u00e1ticas porque aprend\u00ed \u00c1lgebra a los cinco a\u00f1os y yo siempre las vi como algo muy divertido. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tambi\u00e9n me di cuenta que en ese \u00e1mbito en M\u00e9xico estamos muy mal, porque a los ni\u00f1os s\u00f3lo se les ense\u00f1a a memorizar y se vuelve algo superficial porque no entienden de d\u00f3nde viene todo. Esto hace que con el paso de los a\u00f1os se vuelva algo dif\u00edcil o aburrido.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

El futuro despu\u00e9s de Harvard<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u00bfC\u00f3mo fue terminar la maestr\u00eda en \u00e9pocas de la Covid-19?<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Estaba all\u00e1 (en Harvard) y un viernes de marzo nos dijeron que deb\u00edamos volver a nuestros pa\u00edses. Fue muy repentino todo, pero al lunes siguiente comenzamos con clases virtuales. Ten\u00edan ya todo preparado para estas situaciones<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Estuvimos tomando clases casi dos meses en l\u00ednea. S\u00ed fue un cambio, pero el rigor fue muy parecido al de estudiar de forma presencial.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bfCu\u00e1les son tus planes a futuro?<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n
