{"id":157506,"date":"2023-06-29T23:29:32","date_gmt":"2023-06-29T23:29:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tecscience.tec.mx\/es\/?p=157506"},"modified":"2024-12-09T20:42:51","modified_gmt":"2024-12-10T02:42:51","slug":"tipos-de-obesidad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tecscience.tec.mx\/es\/salud\/tipos-de-obesidad\/","title":{"rendered":"\u00bfQu\u00e9 tipos de obesidad existen?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>La obesidad es una condici\u00f3n que se manifiesta con diferentes caracter\u00edsticas en las personas; adem\u00e1s, depende de variables \u2212como el metabolismo\u2212 que permiten dividirla en cuatro tipos.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Linda Morales, investigadora posdoctoral del <a href=\"https:\/\/tecscience.tec.mx\/es\/tag\/institute-for-obesity-research\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Institute for Obesity Research (IOR)<\/a> del Tec de Monterrey, advierte que esta condici\u00f3n se puede subdividir en: <strong>peso normal con obesidad metab\u00f3lica<\/strong>, <strong>obesidad sin compromiso metab\u00f3lico<\/strong>, <strong>obesidad con hiperuricemia<\/strong> (con niveles altos de \u00e1cido \u00farico) y <strong>obesidad con hiperinsulinemia<\/strong> (con niveles altos de insulina).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSe trata de entender y definir mejor los <strong>fenotipos de la obesidad<\/strong>. Se ha concluido que s\u00ed existen subtipos de obesidad que son metab\u00f3licamente distintos. Seg\u00fan el que tengas vas a tener diferentes padecimientos en el futuro\u201d, explica Morales, quien pertenece a la unidad de pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas del IOR.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Seminario- Subtipos de obesidad y sus implicaciones en la salud de la poblaci\u00f3n mexicana\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6Tw8jIN5xmU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Tipos de obesidad<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante el seminario de investigaci\u00f3n realizado por el IOR, la investigadora present\u00f3 los resultados de su estudio que muestran que las personas con obesidad sin compromiso metab\u00f3lico suelen presentar glucosa elevada, pero en los l\u00edmites normales.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En tanto, quienes ten\u00edan peso normal con obesidad metab\u00f3lica presentaban niveles de colesterol muy altos, incluso mayor a quienes pesaban m\u00e1s. \u201cLas personas sin compromiso metab\u00f3lico fueron 95% mujeres y que las personas con uricemia (alto nivel de \u00e1cido \u00farico en la sangre) fueron en su mayor\u00eda hombres\u201d, dice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ella destaca dos objetivos de su an\u00e1lisis: describir las caracter\u00edsticas de las personas que est\u00e1n clasificadas en cada subtipo de obesidad para dise\u00f1ar estrategias dirigidas a la prevenci\u00f3n y a la atenci\u00f3n personalizada.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En su investigaci\u00f3n utiliz\u00f3 tres par\u00e1metros cl\u00ednicos: insulina en ayuno, hemoglobina glucosilada y \u00e1cido \u00farico. Los datos de 1,562 personas fueron recopilados bajo el programa llamado <a href=\"https:\/\/fundacioncarlosslim.org\/investigacion-e-innovacion\/modelo-casalud-mido\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MIDO Plus de la Fundaci\u00f3n Carlos Slim<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En su an\u00e1lisis, clasific\u00f3 a 397 personas con obesidad y a 251 con peso normal, pero con metabolismo anormal.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>M\u00e1s investigaci\u00f3n en puerta<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Una de las conclusiones de la investigadora del IOR es que algunas personas con obesidad pueden tener un perfil metab\u00f3lico menos da\u00f1ino que los otros subtipos. Por ejemplo, las personas con peso normal presentan en ocasiones anomal\u00edas metab\u00f3licas muy da\u00f1inas que no se detectan dado su aspecto f\u00edsico.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La investigadora advierte que futuras investigaciones tambi\u00e9n deber\u00e1n considerar la salud mental de los pacientes participantes. Adem\u00e1s de identificar si es posible cambiar de un subtipo de obesidad a otro, a lo largo del tiempo.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Actualmente, 72% de los mexicanos mayores de edad padecen obesidad o sobrepeso, mientras que en los ni\u00f1os alcanza 37%, de acuerdo con la Encuesta Nacional de Salud y Nutrici\u00f3n 2021.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Estos porcentajes de obesidad implican que, en 2019, el costo de la obesidad para el pa\u00eds fuera de 240,000 millones de pesos, equivalente a 2.1% del PIB. En 2023, se proyecta que el costo sea de 272,000 millones, seg\u00fan datos de la <a href=\"https:\/\/smobesidad.com.mx\/home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sociedad Mexicana de Obesidad.&nbsp;<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLa obesidad es una amenaza para la econom\u00eda. Necesitamos estrategias \u00fatiles e integrales para la prevenci\u00f3n y el manejo de la obesidad en M\u00e9xico\u201d, explica Morales.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Estudios
