logra implantar electrodos bidireccionales en un paciente con Parkinson, primera vez en M\u00e9xico"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Un paciente de 65 a\u00f1os con Parkinson que no respond\u00eda al tratamiento convencional, se convirti\u00f3 en <strong>la primera persona en M\u00e9xico en recibir implantes de electrodos bidireccionales de Estimulaci\u00f3n Cerebral Profunda<\/strong> (DBS, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El tratamiento de electrodos bidireccionales consiste en la inserci\u00f3n de estos dispositivos en \u00e1reas espec\u00edficas del cerebro, conectados a un<strong> neuroestimulador<\/strong>, que se encarga de enviar impulsos el\u00e9ctricos para mejorar los s\u00edntomas provocados por la condici\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Una vez implantados, <strong>el equipo env\u00eda impulsos el\u00e9ctricos que controlan mejor los s\u00edntomas <\/strong>caracter\u00edsticos del Parkinson, como temblores, lentitud de movimientos y dificultades motoras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe id=\"h-estimulacion-cerebral-profunda-menos-medicamento-menos-efectos-secundarios\"><strong>Estimulaci\u00f3n Cerebral Profunda: Menos medicamento, menos efectos secundarios <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tecsalud.mx\/directorio-medico\/dr-fortino-salazar-salazar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fortino Salazar<\/a>, neurocirujano de <a href=\"\/es\/tag\/tecsalud\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TecSalud<\/a> que particip\u00f3 en el procedimiento, explic\u00f3 que, en promedio, el tratamiento <strong>reduce en un 50% la cantidad de medicamento<\/strong> que se utiliza de manera tradicional; disminuyendo tambi\u00e9n los efectos secundarios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPermite mejorar la calidad de vida de los pacientes con un sistema m\u00e1s din\u00e1mico que env\u00eda un impulso el\u00e9ctrico al cerebro e incluso <strong>puede detectar la actividad cerebral<\/strong> y modificarla, a veces en el momento\u201d, dijo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para evaluar a los pacientes candidatos a esta terapia y determinar la viabilidad de la intervenci\u00f3n, un equipo multidisciplinario realiza resonancias y pruebas neuropsicol\u00f3gicas.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los electrodos implantados <strong>permanecen de por vida en el cerebro del paciente<\/strong>, adapt\u00e1ndose para contrarrestar las se\u00f1ales an\u00f3malas asociadas al Parkinson. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Algunos s\u00edntomas del padecimiento incluyen <strong>temblor de reposo, rigidez y lentitud en los movimientos, y alteraciones para caminar.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esta operaci\u00f3n, liderada por el <a href=\"\/es\/tag\/centro-de-parkinson\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Centro de Parkinson y Trastornos del Movimiento<\/a> de <a href=\"\/es\/tag\/tecsalud\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TecSalud<\/a>, representa un avance m\u00e9dico contra las <strong>enfermedades neurodegenerativas<\/strong> en el pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>M\u00e9xico registra aproximadamente <strong>50 casos nuevos de Parkinson<\/strong> por cada 100,000 habitantes anualmente, seg\u00fan estad\u00edsticas del <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gob.mx\/salud\/innn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Instituto Nacional de Neurolog\u00eda y Neurocirug\u00eda \u201cManuel Velasco
