{"id":176204,"date":"2025-04-29T12:16:39","date_gmt":"2025-04-29T18:16:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tecscience.tec.mx\/es\/?p=176204"},"modified":"2025-06-09T16:16:20","modified_gmt":"2025-06-09T22:16:20","slug":"congreso-internacional-de-investigacion-sobre-obesidad-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tecscience.tec.mx\/es\/salud\/congreso-internacional-de-investigacion-sobre-obesidad-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Las soluciones a la obesidad deben ser \u00e9ticas, humanas y respaldadas por evidencia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>La obesidad se debe reconocer como un fen\u00f3meno cr\u00f3nico y multifactorial <\/strong>que exige respuestas integradas desde la ciencia, la tecnolog\u00eda, la nutrici\u00f3n, el entorno urbano, la educaci\u00f3n, la psicolog\u00eda y las pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas, dijo <a href=\"https:\/\/tec.mx\/es\/conocenos\/oficina-del-rector\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Juan Pablo Murra<\/strong><\/a>, rector del Tec de Monterrey, durante su mensaje de apertura en el <a href=\"\/es\/tag\/congreso-internacional-de-investigacion-sobre-obesidad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Congreso Internacional de Investigaci\u00f3n sobre Obesidad 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEs importante<strong> construir soluciones desde la interdisciplinariedad <\/strong>con una <strong>mirada \u00e9tica<\/strong>, <strong>humana<\/strong> y basada en evidencia\u201d, agreg\u00f3 el directivo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La cuarta edici\u00f3n de este congreso organizado por el <a href=\"\/es\/tag\/institute-for-obesity-research\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Institute for Obesity Research <\/a>(IOR) del Tec tiene el lema <em><strong>La Obesidad y su impacto durante el ciclo de vida: Una perspectiva multidisciplinaria<\/strong><\/em> y busca ser un espacio donde coinciden expertos en diferentes \u00e1reas para analizar <strong>c\u00f3mo esta condici\u00f3n afecta a las personas en diferentes etapas de la vida<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"\u00bfC\u00f3mo dormir mejor? La relaci\u00f3n entre dormir mal y el sobrepeso\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hnnAgrGeHDQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Investigaci\u00f3n multidisciplinaria para abordar la obesidad<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>En M\u00e9xico, <a href=\"https:\/\/saludpublica.mx\/index.php\/spm\/article\/view\/15863\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">el 37.1% de la poblaci\u00f3n adulta tiene obesidad<\/a> (41% mujeres y 33% hombres), adem\u00e1s, en las \u00faltimas dos d\u00e9cadas, esta condici\u00f3n ha aumentado casi un 58%, comparti\u00f3 <a href=\"\/es\/humano-social\/feniosky-pena-mora-primer-presidente-latino-de-la-sociedad-estadounidense-de-ingenieros-civiles-asce\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Feniosky Pe\u00f1a-Mora<\/strong><\/a>, vicepresidente ejecutivo de Investigaci\u00f3n del Tec, durante la apertura del Congreso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Se\u00f1al\u00f3 que esta condici\u00f3n no es un desaf\u00edo que pueda entenderse desde una sola perspectiva, sino que <strong>es un fen\u00f3meno complejo que impacta distintas etapas de la vida y diferentes dimensiones del ser humano<\/strong>, que van desde la biolog\u00eda hasta lo social.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por ejemplo, explic\u00f3 que en el IOR, a trav\u00e9s de <a href=\"\/es\/salud\/investigacion-sobre-obesidad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cinco unidades de investigaci\u00f3n<\/a> se abordan aspectos como medicina experimental, alimentos saludables, biolog\u00eda integrativa, bioingenier\u00eda y pol\u00edtica p\u00fablica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEstamos impulsando proyectos que buscan <strong>mejorar la calidad de vida de ni\u00f1as, ni\u00f1os, mujeres, hombres y personas mayores<\/strong>. Todo esto es posible gracias a la colaboraci\u00f3n de investigadoras, investigadores, estudiantes, y aliadas y aliados estrat\u00e9gicos que han hecho de la ciencia una herramienta para transformar nuestras realidades y, en este caso, nuestras condiciones\u201d, destac\u00f3 Pe\u00f1a-Mora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Algunos de los proyectos del Instituto consisten en el desarrollo de dispositivos para el <a href=\"\/es\/salud\/prueba-obesidad-infantil\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">diagn\u00f3stico temprano de obesidad infantil<\/a>, <a href=\"\/es\/salud\/per-olof-berggren-quiere-curar-la-diabetes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">trasplantes de islotes para tratar la diabetes<\/a>, <a href=\"\/es\/salud\/proyecto-origen-genoma-mexicano\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">estudios de gen\u00e9tica de la poblaci\u00f3n mexicana<\/a> y los mecanismos para hacer accesibles tratamientos para hacer frente a esta condici\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><picture>\r\n                <source srcset=\"https:\/\/tecscience.tec.mx\/es\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2025\/04\/congreso-internacional-de-investigacion-en-obesidad4.webp\" type=\"image\/webp\">\r\n                <img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/tecscience.tec.mx\/es\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2025\/04\/congreso-internacional-de-investigacion-en-obesidad4.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-176287\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tecscience.tec.mx\/es\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2025\/04\/congreso-internacional-de-investigacion-en-obesidad4.jpg 750w, https:\/\/tecscience.tec.mx\/es\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2025\/04\/congreso-internacional-de-investigacion-en-obesidad4-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/>\r\n            <\/picture><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">La secretaria de Salud de Nuevo Le\u00f3n expuso las estrategias que han implementado en esa entidad para hacer frente al problema de obesidad, como intervenciones en escuelas y evaluaciones realizadas por personal de salud  (Foto: H\u00e9ctor Gonz\u00e1lez \/ TecScience)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas para enfrentar obesidad<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La obesidad representa <strong>un problema de salud p\u00fablica grave y creciente<\/strong>, empieza desde temprana edad, afecta tanto a ni\u00f1os como adultos, y est\u00e1 ligado a enfermedades cr\u00f3nicas y cardiovasculares que pueden causar la muerte, dijo Alma Rosa Marroqu\u00edn, secretaria de Salud de Nuevo Le\u00f3n. Por ejemplo, a trav\u00e9s de la encuesta de salud y nutrici\u00f3n 2022-2024, se detect\u00f3 en ese estado <strong>un aumento en la prevalencia esta condici\u00f3n en menores<\/strong>, donde cuatro de cada 10 ni\u00f1os varones presentaron exceso de peso; adem\u00e1s, en adultos de entre 40 y 49 a\u00f1os, la obesidad abdominal est\u00e1 presente en el 92.8%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEso significa que <strong>afecta a nueve de cada 10 adultos j\u00f3venes<\/strong>, que est\u00e1n en su plena etapa productiva. Esto nos va a impactar en muchos aspectos que van desde la toma de decisiones, en la propia vida que tenga esta persona y en su aporte a la sociedad\u201d, mencion\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Marroqu\u00edn mencion\u00f3 que esta problem\u00e1tica se debe a factores como un entorno obesog\u00e9nico asociado a factores sociales, gen\u00e9ticos y ambientales, as\u00ed como una cultura alimentaria err\u00f3nea. Para hacerle frente son necesarias estrategias y pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas para combatir el sobrepeso y la obesidad como la<strong> Ley General de Alimentaci\u00f3n Adecuada y Sostenible<\/strong>, que promueve el consumo y producci\u00f3n de alimentos nutritivos, o el programa <strong>Vive Saludable, Vive Feliz<\/strong>, con <strong>intervenciones en escuelas<\/strong>, a trav\u00e9s de educaci\u00f3n y concientizaci\u00f3n en nutrici\u00f3n, evaluaciones realizadas por personal de salud y la regulaci\u00f3n del entorno alimentario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure <strong>definici\u00f3n de la obesidad cl\u00ednica<\/strong> y otros temas relacionados a esta condici\u00f3n son parte de la agenda del evento, donde tambi\u00e9n se exponen los proyectos que se desarrollan en el instituto, coment\u00f3 Marco Rito, director del IOR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEl Congreso nos da la oportunidad de mostrar el tipo de investigaciones que estamos realizando \u2014a trav\u00e9s de pl\u00e1ticas cortas y modalidad de carteles\u2014, no solo dentro del instituto, sino tambi\u00e9n con nuestros <strong>colegas con los que estamos colaborando de instituciones externas al Tec<\/strong>\u201d, dijo Rito.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s de la redefinici\u00f3n de la obesidad cl\u00ednica, hay espacios donde se abordan desaf\u00edos en la implementaci\u00f3n de la nueva <strong>Ley General de Alimentaci\u00f3n Adecuada y Sostenible<\/strong>, vitaminas del grupo B, epigenoma y programaci\u00f3n fetal; y quimioinform\u00e1tica en el desarrollo de f\u00e1rmacos; biosensores basados en nanofot\u00f3nica para el cuidado de la salud, entre otros temas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El evento contempla conferencias magistrales, paneles y sesiones de presentaci\u00f3n de investigadores del instituto; se lleva a cabo en el campus Monterrey del Tec y tambi\u00e9n se puede seguir <a href=\"https:\/\/live.tec.mx\/featured-events\/events\/congreso-ior2025\">de manera
