{"id":178847,"date":"2025-08-04T13:40:22","date_gmt":"2025-08-04T19:40:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tecscience.tec.mx\/es\/?p=178847"},"modified":"2025-08-04T17:13:34","modified_gmt":"2025-08-04T23:13:34","slug":"riesgo-genetico-de-alzheimer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tecscience.tec.mx\/es\/salud\/riesgo-genetico-de-alzheimer\/","title":{"rendered":"Crean la escala de riesgo gen\u00e9tico de Alzheimer m\u00e1s completa hasta la fecha"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Un equipo internacional de cient\u00edficos, en el que ha participado el CSIC, ha avanzado en el desarrollo de <strong>perfiles gen\u00e9ticos<\/strong> m\u00e1s precisos para mejorar la detecci\u00f3n precoz del Alzheimer, una <a href=\"\/es\/biotecnologia\/una-nueva-oportunidad-para-la-deteccion-de-alzheimer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">enfermedad neurodegenerativa<\/a> que representa la s\u00e9ptima causa de muerte en el mundo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los resultados, que aparecen publicados en las revistas <em>Nature Genetics <\/em>y<em> Nature Communications<\/em>, suponen la obtenci\u00f3n de la <strong>escala de riesgo gen\u00e9tico<\/strong> m\u00e1s completa hasta el momento, adem\u00e1s de la identificaci\u00f3n de nuevos genes implicados en la enfermedad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En el estudio publicado a finales de junio en <em>Nature Genetics<\/em>, el equipo combin\u00f3 varias investigaciones de asociaci\u00f3n de genoma completo de 100,000 personas sanas y enfermas en Europa, Asia, \u00c1frica y Am\u00e9rica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Estas investigaciones consistieron en averiguar qu\u00e9 base del ADN presentaba cada individuo en alrededor de 1 mill\u00f3n de sitios del genoma. Al aplicar un <strong>c\u00e1lculo estad\u00edstico<\/strong> a los resultados, los cient\u00edficos identificaron cu\u00e1les de esas posiciones aparec\u00edan m\u00e1s frecuentemente en pacientes que en personas sanas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Conoce c\u00f3mo una dieta antiinflamatoria puede evitar el deterioro cognitivo\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GsiyzDN1Hcc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Una escala predictiva<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>En total, analizaron datos gen\u00e9ticos de m\u00e1s de <strong>35,000 personas enfermas y m\u00e1s de 60,000 personas sanas<\/strong>, de edades y sexo similares. Con la informaci\u00f3n obtenida, los cient\u00edficos crearon una escala de riesgo gen\u00e9tico basada en la presencia de variantes concretas asociadas al Alzheimer en un peque\u00f1o n\u00famero de genes, alrededor de 80 de entre los m\u00e1s de 16,000 que tiene el ser humano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esta escala define el riesgo de una persona de padecerlo en funci\u00f3n de su perfil gen\u00e9tico. \u201cRiesgo quiere decir probabilidad\u201d, advierte <strong>Jordi P\u00e9rez-Tur<\/strong>, investigador del CSIC en el Instituto de Biomedicina de Valencia (IBV-CSIC) y coautor en los dos trabajos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTodav\u00eda no podemos decir al 100% si alguien tendr\u00e1 la enfermedad o no, solo podemos establecer la <strong>probabilidad de que la padezca<\/strong>\u201d, asegura. \u201cAl combinar varios estudios de asociaci\u00f3n de genoma completo conseguimos aumentar la fiabilidad de los resultados e identificar cambios gen\u00e9ticos que tienen un efecto m\u00e1s peque\u00f1o y que solo pueden detectarse cuando se estudia un gran n\u00famero de pacientes\u201d, aclara el experto<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Alzheimer es una enfermedad compleja. No suele aparecer por una causa \u00fanica, sino por una <strong>combinaci\u00f3n de factores<\/strong> entre los que se encuentran los genes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, no hay una \u00fanica mutaci\u00f3n que cause la enfermedad, sino una combinaci\u00f3n de cambios en diversos genes. Seg\u00fan los investigadores, identificar qu\u00e9 cambios son estos y en qu\u00e9 genes se dan es fundamental para conocer mejor c\u00f3mo surge esta condici\u00f3n, adem\u00e1s de <a href=\"\/es\/salud\/sildenafil-viagra-alzheimer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">desarrollar terapias<\/a> frente a ella.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-spotify wp-block-embed-spotify wp-embed-aspect-21-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Spotify Embed: Ep. 97 - Alzheimer: El dolor de perderse y lo que hace la ciencia para encontrar una cura\" style=\"border-radius: 12px\" width=\"100%\" height=\"152\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/episode\/7LwB0iTNHxZU7tZdcWtDAO?si=3f8829fdd25240f2&#038;utm_source=oembed\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Exclusi\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Este estudio tambi\u00e9n supera una barrera que ha existido durante mucho tiempo en las investigaciones gen\u00e9ticas en humanos. Estos utilizaban el ADN de pa\u00edses desarrollados, fundamentalmente europeos y norteamericanos, y dejaban fuera a poblaciones con una<strong> historia gen\u00e9tica diferente.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En este trabajo, adem\u00e1s de utilizar datos gen\u00e9ticos de 17 pa\u00edses europeos, se analizaron poblaciones de Asia, \u00c1frica, Latinoam\u00e9rica y Am\u00e9rica del Norte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEstudiar poblaciones con historias gen\u00e9ticas diversas nos ayuda tanto a hacer un <strong>diagn\u00f3stico precoz adaptado <\/strong>a cada grupo como a conocer las causas de la enfermedad, que son las mismas con independencia de la poblaci\u00f3n. As\u00ed conseguimos dise\u00f1ar terapias m\u00e1s efectivas\u201d, asegura Mar\u00eda Jes\u00fas Bullido, investigadora del Centro de Biolog\u00eda Molecular Severo Ochoa y participante en ambos estudios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para profundizar en las bases del Alzheimer, el equipo reanaliz\u00f3 la informaci\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica de m\u00e1s de 41,000 personas en el el trabajo anterior con t\u00e9cnicas de <a href=\"\/es\/tag\/inteligencia-artificial\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">inteligencia artificial<\/a> (aprendizaje autom\u00e1tico o machine learning). Esto les permiti\u00f3, por un lado, confirmar hallazgos previos sobre esta misma poblaci\u00f3n, as\u00ed como identificar nuevos genes relevantes para la aparici\u00f3n del Alzheimer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNo solo confirmamos hallazgos previos, sino que tambi\u00e9n descubrimos <strong>seis nuevas regiones del ADN<\/strong> asociadas al Alzheimer, en las que se inclu\u00edan cinco genes que no hab\u00edan sido vinculados antes con la enfermedad. Adem\u00e1s, refinamos el conocimiento sobre una regi\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica ya conocida por su vinculaci\u00f3n con la enfermedad, lo que podr\u00eda abrir nuevas v\u00edas para el diagn\u00f3stico y tratamiento\u201d, describe Pablo Mir, investigador del instituto de Biomedicina de Sevilla y coautor en ambos trabajos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De este modo, conocer nuevos factores gen\u00e9ticos permitir\u00e1 incluirlos en las escalas de riesgo gen\u00e9tico desarrolladas por el equipo. Y disponer de un estudio sobre poblaciones gen\u00e9ticamente diversas permitir\u00eda dise\u00f1ar <strong>mejores diagn\u00f3sticos<\/strong>, adaptados a la historia gen\u00e9tica de la poblaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, con la inteligencia artificial se puede extraer mayor<strong> cantidad de informaci\u00f3n <\/strong>de los an\u00e1lisis realizados, sin necesidad de iniciar nuevos estudios de coste econ\u00f3mico elevado y una duraci\u00f3n muy prolongada en el tiempo, destacan los investigadores (V\u00eda <em><a
