I am a surgeon, specialized in ophthalmology, with a master’s degree in Medical Sciences and a doctorate in Research in Surgery. I am a researcher (SNI 1) in Health Sciences and author of 5 books, 17 chapters, and 111 articles in the field of medical and health sciences. I was Editor-in-Chief of Avances and Guest Editor for Revista Mexicana de Oftalmología and Annals of Eye Science. He’s also a member of different editorial boards.

Science journalist and visual artist. My work has been published in media such as Science, Science News, Newsweek, Nexos, among others. I studied Biology at the UNAM Faculty of Sciences, It was there that I discovered my passion for communicating scientific knowledge and its social relevance to all people.
